With an education in both technology and economics he started his career in Business Development in the Corporate world. The corporate experience from both Wartsila/Valmet and Nokia has been put to good use in the strategic management of smaller entities later on. Hans’ Scandinavian background gives him the ability to easily adapt to different conditions and work efficiently within different cultures. During most of his career the Business Development and Strategic Positioning of both companies and products have been a focus. Working in challenging businesses and economies with good results has early on prepared him for demanding tasks and challenges. Global Mergers and Acquisitions as well as Divestments have been part of the solutions to focusing on growth and sustained profitability of the concerned companies. Sales and Marketing, both Direct and through Channel, have been part of the responsibilities throughout. The range of products, from heavy industrial investment products to consumer on-line services shows the adaptability and cross use of skills that has shaped his career. Entry into and development of new markets as well as market share acquisition in old markets have all been part of the experience.
