About Hans Lund

HL graduated as physical therapist in 1982, and worked for the next seven years with rehabilitation of elderly people. Following a one-year course in teaching and management HL worked for two years as clinical teacher at School of Physiotherapy at Skodsborg. HL earned his PhD from University of Copenhagen in 1997 and following two years of teaching scientific theory and methods at School of Physiotherapy at Skodsborg, HL became full time researcher within the area of knee osteoarthritis, exercise principles and evidence-based practice at The Parker Institute, Frederiksberg Hospital. During his career as physiotherapist and researcher HL was member of different research committees, editorial boards, originator and chairman of the “The Danish Society for Research in Physiotherapy”. HL has been supervisor for more than 60 bachelor projects, several master-projects and supervisor for 5 ph.d-projects. has been reviewer of 7 ph.d./doctoral thesis and peer reviewer on several international scientific journals. In addition HL is the author and editor of five textbooks. HL has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles in international scientific journals. HL currently is the Director of Studies for a master program in rehabilitation, a Master of Science program in Physiotherapy and coordinating director of studies for a group of masterprograms, and associate professor at the Research Unit for Musculoskeletal Function and Physiotherapy, Institute of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, all at the University of Southern Denmark. In addition, he was appointed professor at Bergen University College in January 2013.
