The past 15 years of my career I have been active within the biotechnology arena, taking on responsibility for process development, technology transfers, line management, project management and site management. My main focus areas are food ingredients, antibiotics and biopharmaceuticals. I have a strong chemical engineering and biotechnology expertise. I have successfully developed and implemented several food enzyme manufacturing processes in our manufacturing facility in Seclin, France. I have driven the creation of the DSM Biotechnology Center (400+ professionals) in Delft, The Netherlands, led various departments for process development and successfully managed the technology portfolio of the DSM anti-invectives business group. My latest achievement has been the preparation and start-up of a greenfield cGMP biopharmaceuticals manufacturing plant for GMP operations in Brisbane, Australia. Currently I am General Manager of the DSM Food Specialties Australia.
