Currently working on Li-ion batteries. Developing the variety grades of graphite anode materials and its validation for li ion battery applications. PhD in development and testing corrosion behavior of carbon materials for fuel reprocessing and future GEN IV nuclear applications. My work includes the development of highly oriented CVD synthesized "Pyrolytic Graphite" coatings their characterization(Density, Phase, microstructure and purity ) and monitoring the oxidation behavior (and their mechanism) under accidental air and steam ingress, under highly corrosive molten salts and molten metal environments. In this work CVD synthesized Pyrolytic Graphite shown exceptional oxidation and corrosion resistance towards the most hostile environments and also, increased the efficiency and durability of carbon materials. Furthermore, I have investigated corrosion behavior of "Pyrolytic Graphite coated high density graphite" as an anode material for direct electrochemical de-oxidation from metal oxides to metals under molten salt medium.
