About Harish Krishnan

Hey, I’m Harish — a data science grad student at the University of Adelaide, currently based in Sydney and someone who genuinely loves making sense of messy data and turning it into something useful. I moved to Australia in 2023 to pursue my master’s in data science (with a 30% merit scholarship), and since then, I’ve been working on projects that use machine learning, cloud tools, and data visualisation to solve real problems—from fraud detection to healthcare. During my internship at Infosys Consulting, I got to work on large-scale enterprise datasets, building real-time dashboards and fraud detection models. One of the models even supported a $114M revenue forecast and improved accuracy by 97.8%! I also worked on an open-source brain tumour detection project, where I built CNN and U-Net models that improved diagnostic accuracy by 20%. Being able to apply deep learning to something with real social impact was incredibly rewarding. 🧠 When I’m not working with data, I’m probably geeking out over decision theory, watching football, or enjoying a coastal walk somewhere in Sydney. Tech I love working with Python, SQL, R, Power BI, Azure, AWS, Scikit-learn, NLP, deep learning, and cloud-based ML pipelines. I'm actively seeking a full-time role in data science where I can transform data into real-world impact using machine learning, analytics, and cloud tools.
