About Harish Sidharth

I’m a junior doctor with a strong interest in internal medicine and acute care. My medical training and early clinical roles have shaped me into a team-oriented, reflective clinician who values evidence-based practice, communication, and patient-centred care. I completed my rotational internship at Tirunelveli Medical College, where I gained hands-on experience across a wide range of specialties including general medicine, surgery, paediatrics, OBGYN, psychiatry, emergency medicine, and community health. This provided a strong clinical foundation and practical skills in diverse healthcare settings. My junior doctor roles in India, including at Rhythm Hospital and New Crescent Hospital, gave me responsibility for inpatient care, acute case management, and day-to-day coordination with healthcare teams. I built confidence in clinical judgment, multitasking, and managing patient expectations. In the UK, I completed NHS clinical attachments at Royal Liverpool University Hospital (geriatrics), St George’s Hospital (Cardiology), and Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust (endocrinology). These experiences helped me understand NHS workflows, team-based decision-making, and high standards of documentation and patient safety. I'm passionate about medical education, having completed a Teach the Teacher course and delivered BLS sessions and bedside tutorials for junior trainees and students. I aim to integrate education into my long-term career. In research and audit, I led a two-cycle audit on advance care planning in elderly care, presented at MDT level. With leadership experience across clinical and non-clinical settings, I am eager to take the next step in my NHS career—bringing a strong work ethic, a passion for improvement, and a willingness to grow, including learning Welsh if working in bilingual regions.
