I am Harmen van Triest, a Project and Contract Manager with experience within the project organizations for onshore and nearshore wind farms, civil infrastructures and (CCS) pipelines. I play a coordinating role in various types of contracts, such as BOP (Balance of Plant), WTG (Wind Turbine Generators), and T&I (Transport & Installation), all under contract terms like UAV-GC and FIDIC Yellow Book, within Integrated Project Management (IPM) teams. My educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Technical Public Administration and a master's degree in Construction Management and Engineering from TU Delft. These academic foundations have proven to be a valuable combination in my role as an Assistant Contract Manager. I possess strong analytical skills and excel in maintaining a clear overview, making me a fast learner and a proactive member of project teams. As a Manager, my primary focus is on Contract Management and Process Management within my current projects. I leverage smart project management tools on a daily basis to effectively manage civil infrastructure projects. This approach results in well-structured project environments with efficient processes, ultimately leading to high output from project teams. Collaborating in multidisciplinary teams on wind farm projects places me at the intersection of project controls, procurement, contract management, and risk management. In this role, I create overviews, conduct analyses, identify deviations, and produce comprehensive reports. I also prepare internal and external matters for the Contract Managers within the IPM team. I take pride in being a valuable team member who supports and relieves contract managers. I am always alert and maintain a keen sense of overview. My strong desire to learn drives me to identify blind spots, take the initiative, and consistently deliver high-quality work. With an optimistic outlook, I naturally strive to excel in all that I do. When I commit to something I don't like to lose momentum.
