About Harold Dijk

Harold Dijk has more than thirty years working experience in the electrical power sector. At this moment, he is working as Principal Consultant for DNV GL. Prior to this position, he acted as Account manager (to the Dutch TSO and DNOs), Senior Consultant, Project Manager, Research Group Manager and Researcher at the Technical University of Delft. He has been involved in a variety of projects related to Power System Planning and Operation of Transmission and Distribution Companies. He has supported TSOs/DNOs in developing an Asset Management Road Map and/or setting up their Asset Management and Network Operation Department. Harold Dijk has received his MSc and PhD from the Delft University of Technology (Netherlands). He was the Dutch member of the Cigré Study Committee 38 on Power Systems Methods and Techniques, the chairman of the Dutch Cigré Committee on Power System Planning, System Operations and Protection and Control, and the Secretary of the EMS Platform of the Dutch DNOs. His key qualifications are: • Extensive understanding of the Power industry, in particular Transmission and Distribution Companies • Broad knowledge of Power System Planning, Asset Management, System Operation and Control Centre • Broad knowledge of TSO functions as applied in the European context (Network codes) • Experience with due diligence projects for Transmission and Distribution in The Netherlands and Europe • Project management experience
