About Harold Goellner

Our mission at Advanced Machine & Engineering (AME) is to “Make Our Customer Successful”. I work closely with the people that design, build, and operate the machines that power the manufacturing industry. At the core of advanced manufacturing is the machine tool, and the heart of the machine tool is the spindle. My career has centered around machine tool spindles, specifically the tool clamping systems within them. Machine tools and metalworking manufacturing technology are in my genes. I was born in Germany, the son of a passionate craftsman, inventor, and machine tool designer. We immigrated to the United States to pursue the American Dream. Over 50 years later, AME continues to grow, and our family continues to dream. My dream started on the shop floor as a journeyman machinist where I learned hands on how to make chips and transform raw material into precision engineered components. After graduating from my technical training, I moved into various management and leadership positions at AME with a focus on supporting our German partnership with OTT/Jakob tool clamping technology. Our strategic partnership with OTT/Jakob keeps AME integrated with the brightest minds in the machine tool industry. I’m honored to share my insight as a member of the SME and ASME, and formerly part of the ASME B5 Technical Committee TC 45_on spindle noses and Tool Shanks for Machining centers. My intimate understanding of Machine Tool Spindle design allows me to lead the business development effort for OTT/Jakob in North America as I travel throughout the continent providing technical support to the engineers that require the highest standard for long-life clamping technology inside the spindle. 1 John 4:4
