About Harpreet K.

I'm a sustainability advocate on a mission to combat the environmental impact of fast fashion. Our planet (and your closet) is suffering, one poorly constructed garment at a time. While working in the fashion industry, I realized, I wasn’t solving problems, I was creating them. So I'm on a journey to solve a different kind of problem. Not just how fast can we deliver, but how can we improve sustainability by implementing a circular fashion economy and dramatically reduce textile waste? My focus lies in putting a magnifying glass on public policy, aiming to establish guidelines and rules that pave the way for a sustainable future. I am dedicated to bringing people together in the rooms where these crucial decisions are made. My aim is to raise awareness about the issues stemming from fast fashion and foster connections with political leaders to drive positive change. In 2024 I testified to the Washington State House Committee on Environment & Energy on bill HB 2068: Concerning the environmental impacts of fashion, highlighting the need to invest in textile recycling programs that keep clothing out of landfills.
