About Harri Rose

Communications professional who is passionate about story-led content that drives action, builds community and sparks positive change. I bring experience across marcomms, campaigning and events in the Third Sector and independent festival industry. Having completed a MA in Food Studies (Food Systems & Anthropology) I'm thrilled to be the new Comms Manager for Better Food Traders. I'm very interested in intersections of food, sustainability, social justice, urban design and system change. My thesis was on seed saving in market gardens and hope in the face of climate change. As Communications Manager at the Association of Independent Festivals created a comms strategy positioning AIF as the voice of the UK’s independent festivals. Having spent years crewing or working hosting at independent festivals, I firmly believing that these are some of the most creative, joyful places in the world. Previously, as Co-Director of the body-positive CIC Anti Diet Riot Club, we grew a community of 125k+(IG), gained national media coverage (The Guardian, Grazia, The Times) and championed radical body acceptance. My writing has appeared in Glamour, RocknRoll Bride, and my blog led to the publication of the book You Are Enough (Hachette, 2018)."The struggle to feel confident in your skin is real but Harri Rose is here to put an end to it."- Glamour Magazine. Interests: digital campaigning, food politics, ethical consumerism, body politics, access to health, sustainability, community, and decolonisation.
