As a Sociology PhD student and Doctoral Teaching Assistant (DTA), I research and deliver teaching to undergraduate students at the University of Plymouth (UoP). Had 3 Research Assistant (RA) roles Contributed to 10 conferences/events Been Seminar Leader for 9 modules 🩺 Been Visiting Specialist (VS) for 1 module Given 2 Guest Seminars Given 1 Guest Lecture My PhD research centres around lived experiences and perceptions of autistic people who identify as women and/or were Assigned Female at Birth (AFAB), as well as media representations of this population. I am currently in the data collection phase, conducting ‘direct messaging interviews’ (interviews via email) at autisticperspectivesphd@plymouth.ac.uk Research Interests: neurodiversity, gender equality, fandom, medical sociology, sensory (dis)comfort, lived experiences, education and disabilities.
