Superlative competency, admiral attitude and dedication soon earned Mr. Goodyear the reputation as one of the most influential and knowledgeable NDT specialists in Canada. His always exceptional professionalism is highlighted with an apt ability to routinely analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions respecting both time restraints and personnel limitations. An accomplished professional where his vast expertise is utilized specifically on the most complex technical procedures. His technical dexterity is widely known in and outside the Canadian Forces for composite materials testing applications, Digital radiography and Phased Array to name a few. His remarkable talents in management and training of personnel including impressive written and verbal communication skills has resulted in his appointment as Lead Instructor for the Canadian Forces Non-Destructive Testing Occupation. His redesign of the Canadian Forces NDT training plans and instructional procedures has provided a marked improvement in the personnel pass rate attempting Canadian General Standards Board examinations. Mr. Goodyear has made substantial contributions to the Canadian Forces and more precisely to the growth of the NDT program.
