Background

About Harrison Raskin

I'm a student in the Geo-Information Sciences MS program at Salem State University, seeking positions as a GIS technician, analyst or intern, as well as roles which allow me to leverage my skills for urban planning and public relations. On my page here I've posted a few of my proudest GIS work samples. I spent fifteen months working as a Housing Support Specialist at Vinfen where I managed a caseload of dozens of clients simultaneously, assisting with housing search, application and retention. This cultivated my skills in communication and public relations as well as familiarity with Massachusetts housing policy. At the University of Connecticut I was a student journalist, researcher and student-administrator focused on comparative politics, environmental studies and urban planning. I’ve written extensively for my coursework and editorial journalism, and I’ve held paid research positions in archival, biographical, human behavioral and qualitative research.
