As a dedicated Biosystems Engineering major, I am driven by the intersection of technology and sustainability. My journey in biosystems engineering has equipped me with a diverse skill set, blending biological sciences, engineering principles, and environmental considerations. I am committed to creating a positive impact through innovative and sustainable solutions. Proficient in various CAD and engineering software, I specialize in optimizing processes and driving efficiencies. My experiences include designing innovative solutions for utility optimization and implementing sustainable practices in real-world settings. Through my participation in the Partners in Pollution Prevention (P3) program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I gained valuable insights into the importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving shared goals. In my role as a Garage Student Worker, I developed and implemented Standard Operating Procedures for advanced fabrication machinery, including 3D printers (SLA, SLS, FDM), CNC mills, and laser cutters, ensuring safety and effectiveness in student use. I also diagnosed and repaired technical issues, minimizing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency. My passion for mentoring others led me to assist students in project design and fabrication, providing guidance and technical support for capstone projects. Beyond academics and work, I honed my leadership and communication skills through my involvement with Sigma Alpha Mu, where I served as President and Vice President. During my tenure, I managed an executive board and eight chair positions, driving strategic initiatives to strengthen our chapter. I also represented the organization on campus and in the local community, participating in national conventions and leadership training to further our goals. These experiences deepened my understanding of team dynamics and the importance of building relationships to foster growth. Looking ahead, I am excited to contribute my skills and knowledge to the industry. My goal is to play a pivotal role in engineering teams, driving innovation and sustainability in biosystems engineering.
