About Harrison Tran

Harrison is a third-year student pharmacist at Loma Linda University currently seeking a 2022 pharmacy intern position at a community pharmacy setting. Prior to attending pharmacy school, Harrison had completed his undergraduate coursework at University of California, Irvine where he received his BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He was also involved in a research lab, maintaining the genetic variation of the Drosophila melanogaster population that is used for research projects. Harrison is interested in leading patients to the path of better health as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a setting that manages and provides high quality care to patients with chronic conditions. He currently works at CVS Pharmacy, where he not only performs the duties of a pharmacy technician, but he also counsel patients on a wide variety of medications as well as informing them of COVID testing procedures. After completing of the PharmD program, Harrison is seeking to progress his professional training by pursuing a PGY1 ambulatory care residency. In addition to his work experience, Harrison is involved with a few campus organizations. He is a service-learning coordinator for CKC-Music, a program that mentors children from underserved communities through music.
