About Harrison Weber

Harrison is an organizer with leadership, nonprofit, policy, and political experience who believes that we all must do what we can with what we have from where we are to create a more just and peaceful world. To this end, he is currently deploying his skill set and experience to organize RNs, who in turn advocate for their patients and the working class. Prior to joining CNA/NNU, Harrison organized communities, mobilized voters, and led teams of organizers for Bernie 2016 across the country, including central NH, the suburbs of Detroit, and the East SF Bay Area. In the past, Harrison has helped clients (including ASCO, the world's leading society of cancer doctors) to discover and articulate their purpose and vision. He has worked with clients to devise and execute upon bold choices grounded in organizational culture and the transformation of that culture (he is a certificated Cultural Transformation Tools consultant). Harrison worked for CA Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson as her Representative on Higher Education and Business Development. Here, he helped Sen. Jackson develop her relationships with local innovators inside and outside of academic communities. Senator Jackson recruited Harrison shortly after he graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is the winner of the 2012 Storke Award (the campus's highest student honor). As one nominator described, “mature, insightful, sensitive, politically astute, articulate, intelligent, and hardworking, Harrison is a visionary who has the courage and commitment to tackle big ideas. He has not been satisfied with just doing a good job representing students. Instead, he has thought boldly and acted decisively to make truly remarkable contributions to this campus and to its students. He is without a doubt one of the very best AS presidents with whom I have worked in my 28 years on campus.” Harrison is also a certified yoga instructor.
