About Harry Austin
Postdoctoral Research Associate with experience in protein discovery, characterisation, engineering, polymer chemistry, cell culture and development and optimisation of enzyme assays. I obtained a PhD which was joint-funded by the University of Portsmouth and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Denver, Colorado. This has allowed me to work closely with both industry and academia, thereby facilitating a unique perspective on the challenges and demands of each sector. I am currently a Humboldt postdoctoral fellow working at The University of Greifswald in the area of biotechnology and directed evolution.
