About Harry Chan

I didn't get it right for a while, but when I discovered the joy of being a Registered Nurse, I knew that I had found the perfect career for myself. Over the past ten years, I spent much time at the bedside and I found myself to be in the fortunate position to be guided into a leadership role at the same hospital that took a chance on a former chef/chemist entering as a newly graduated RN. I currently have the pleasure of leading a team of dedicated professionals that deliver extraordinary care on a daily basis to people who have succumbed to an illness and are in need of help. I seek to challenge my team to grow and see past what they perceive to be their limits. I work on cultivating an environment that fosters teamwork and open communication. I look to develop each person professionally along with some nuggets that may be useful in their personal lives as well. In my free time - I enjoy spending time with my wife & newborn son (who I lovingly call a sumo wrestler), cooking, woodwork, seeking out opportunities to play volleyball, watching anime or a good movie, or simply hanging out with those that I cherish - my family and friends.
