About Harry Crisp

Harry Crisp is a student at Vanderbilt University and Marine option Midshipman at the University’s NROTC unit. He is currently pursuing a major in Economics and History. During High School he attended Christ Presbyterian Academy. In his senior year he participated in Varsity Track and Field with an emphasis on long distance through the 1600m and 4x800m events, and continues to be an avid runner. In the summers of 2021 and 2022 Harry attended Culver Summer Naval School, the summer school wing of Culver Military Academy, and graduated in 2022 with the rank of battalion operations officer. During his time at CSNC he held company commander, platoon leader and squad leader billets as well as being the track team coach for the Naval Band. During his two years as a student at Culver Harry performed on the Naval Drill Team honor organization. In 2024 he returned to Culver Summer School as staff, holding the position as Tactical Officer for Aviation Company A and coach for the Naval Drill team. During this time he and the counseling staff executed complex operations while supervising the safety, welfare and leadership training of 49 cadets for the duration of the summer. Harry is a student pilot, having flown during a Culver Summer School Garrison Parade and completing a solo cross country flight in a Cessna 172. He is currently undergoing training and preparation for Marine Officer Candidate School via VUNROTC's Bulldog program while studying in the Economics and History major. In 2024 he was awarded the highly competitive USMC sideload scholarship, firmly establishing his course to commissioning after OCS graduation. He aims to pursue the Pilot Mission Occupational Specialty (MOS) upon commissioning into the Marines as a Second Lieutenant in 2027.
