I have been recruiting in the legal market across London and Brussels for just about 10 years and I can honestly say that no two days are the same. Over the course of the last decade, I have met some amazing people from 'good' recruiters, lawyers and excellent HR managers, some of you I will have helped along the way with my advice, knowledge, unbiased opinions and if I am extremely lucky the occasional successful introduction. The legal recruitment market is a tough one, it's one that requires knowledge, patience and trust. It has taken me a long time to build a business that is built almost entirely on these three principles. My placements come from longstanding relationships, keeping in touch and referrals. As a result, I now run (an ever growing) team of four happy consultants who now help me manage these allegiances to both client and candidate. I do not expect you to be actively looking to leave your current position, nor do I want to send your CV to every law firm in town but what I do thrive on is the 'would be and could be of interests' 75% of the people I place have discussed with me their longer-term career goals and aspirations which I have helped fulfil over time. This recruitment model works, It really does! I am always on the lookout to speak to qualified lawyers in London and Brussels who want to know what’s out there but perhaps don't know where to start.
