About Harry Davis
I am a PhD candidate in Glacial Geophysics at the University of Edinburgh, funded by the NERC SENSE Centre for Doctoral Training Programme. I am interested in both the Antarctic and Greenland Ice Sheets, with a current focus on using radio-echo sounding data to investigate the 3D age structure of the ice sheet in West Antarctica to better understand the past stability of a region vulnerable to future sea-level rise. Some of my research has also focussed on using 1D ice flow models to investigate the suitability of a new deep ice core site. In addition, I also work as a tutor and demonstrator in the School of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh.
