Background
About Harry Downes
After studying horticulture at university I took up a management trainee programme at Wyevale Nurseries where I was able to put the skills I had learned into practical use.Now I am a supervisor for the company's propagation department, in this role I help run a team producing over cuttings and liners a season. this requires many skills including knowledge of cuttings, pruning and potting. I also help to implement the company's pest and disease prevention strategies.A further part of my current role is running the company's peat-free trials to help reach the 0% target.
