About Harry Freeman

I’m a passionate & intrinsically motivated football coach that loves to use the game of football to develop student-athletes on and off of the playing field. I believe education is important & being a lifelong learner will lead to recurring success. My journey as a student-athlete enabled me to maximize my education. I earned my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in Biology & Exercise Science from Norfolk State University (‘17). I earned my M.S. in Sports Administration & Marketing from Hampton University. I began pursuing my Ph.D. in Sports Administration with a minor in Applied Statistics & Research Methods from the University of Northern Colorado. I completed 1 year of course work as a full time student, but I began my coaching career so my doctoral journey had to be put on pause. My unique work experience has allowed me to gain transferable intangibles that make me successful in any environment. I have 2 years of experience in division 1 athletic administration, academic support to be exact. I have 5 years of experience as a licensed physical education teacher with Denver Public Schools. I have 3 years of experience in coaching at the high school level. Coaching defensive backs is what I specialize in. Finally, I am in my first year as a college football coach at Towson University. I’m a big picture person, however I also enjoy working with minute details. My heart and purpose are in athletics, personal development, and educating the next generation of young professionals. I like to use the game of football as a catalyst for my purpose. My personal experience as a student-athlete was life changing and allowed me to create strong relationships that are very impactful to this day. I take pride in establishing rapport and building strong relationships to coach & mentor current student-athletes.I believe the value of connecting with and challenging the next generation of leaders in a creative fashion is priceless.
