About Harry Johnson

I have taken a new position as a 6 Sigma Black belt project manager, way closer to home. I was previously a Process and Tooling Engineer. I have produced thousands of machine and weld fixtures, for parts as small as a wing nut and as large as pound steel welded fabrications. I engineer the process the way the shop will produce the fabrications. Before I totally took over the Engineering Department I managed the machine shop to the sum of 30 plus employees. Before that I managed 3 restaurants for my father-in-law with total satisfaction. I now purchase and build the tooling required to weld and machine all the parts. I continuously improve the processes and techniques required to produce quality parts in a timely manner. Even before I was a 6 Sigma Black Belt. Continuous improvement and efficiency was second nature to me. Something I think I learned from my father. I model with ProE's Creo 2.0 currently, other software include Autocad, DraftSight, Design Cad, Smart Cam, SigmaNest, I have written thousands of CNC programs both by hand and with a post processor. Becoming a 6 Sigma Black Belt has helped me to understand other things, like brainstorming, brainstorming has made me to understand that everyone can have the most extreme idea. The most uneducated person in the shop can teach the most educated person something, so never even think they cannot. I have had many experiences with this. There are only two accomplishments that I real acknowledge my family and I am an Eagle Scout.
