About Harry Minter

Investment director with 15 years' deep operating experience building control-oriented platforms across East & Southern Africa, focused on climate solutions, essential services, and SME growth. I lead the Renewables vertical at Maris (Nairobi) and sit on multiple portfolio boards. My remit spans the full lifecycle - sourcing, diligence and structuring, governance, risk and ESG/impact, and preparing businesses for scalable debt and eventual exit. I am currently co-leading fundraising and pipeline development for Maris Africa Fund II, a climate-aligned, Africa PE strategy targeting scalable, USD-linked platforms across renewable energy, e-mobility, climate smart agriculture & forestry, and digital infrastructure. Selected highlights include co-leading the start-up, scale-up, and successful exit of East Africa’s largest C&I solar platform and, more recently, launching an e-mobility venture for fleet leasing and support services - alongside broader work across multiple sectors in challenging frontier markets.
