About Harry Reading

A Bachelors and Masters of Sport Science graduate at Victoria University, I have a strong interest in elite sport and working within the field of performance analysis which has seen me work within some high calibre sporting organisations. My hard working nature has seen me work with Melbourne Victory Football Club, working within the A-League squad as a cadet within the sport science and performance analysis departments. Following my cadetship with Melbourne Victory, I moved into the position of Sport Scientist of the NYL/NPL team for the 17/18 season, with my day to day tasks involving; running the players through pre training injury prevention and warm ups, formulating individual strength training programs to help develop players physical capabilities, and monitoring training session intensity/player load management through the use of GPS technology and RPE. During 2018/19, I returned to a similar position within the club as an intern, with an extra focus on video analysis. Previously, I have also worked in a strength and conditioning orientated role with Footscray Edgewater Cricket Club, assisting the team with pre season programs and fitness testing, and providing rehabilitation to individual players during the season. My keen interest in the area of sports analytics has more recently seen me work with a company called Premier Data as a Performance Analyst, calling and coding statistics for local league football in Melbourne and Victoria.
