About Harsh Kumar Jha

Hello! I’m an incoming graduate student at the University of Oxford, where I’ll be pursuing an MSc in Comparative Social Policy. With a background in Political Science and International Relations, I bring a strong foundation in policy thinking, particularly at the intersection of education access, labour market transitions, and healthcare equity in developing country contexts. My academic focus has revolved around understanding structural barriers to primary education, analysing the school-to-work transition for youth in rural India, and studying public health delivery systems through the lens of welfare state frameworks. I’m especially interested in the comparative analysis of social protection systems, and how data-driven approaches can inform more inclusive and equitable policies. Additionally, I am a skilled communicator and patient learner with proficiency in planning and time management. Beyond academics, I am a fitness enthusiast and take a deep interest in writing poetries. I believe in the art of exploration and intend to be a wanderer all my life.
