Currently I am working as an AI Scientist at AI Library where my role is to develop products leveraging Artificial Intelligence across verticals. AI Library enables teams, regardless of technical skill, to build and operate custom AI solutions to power their most critical and unique workflows. My training is in applied mathematics/theoretical physics and I have expertise in building and computationally simulating mathematical models (stochastic differential equations/master equations) of complex systems/phenomena that may arise in the context of biology, finance or quantitative sociology. In particular I look at data sets (usually time series) to identify quantitative trends and build causal contextual models that can explain these trends. These models allow one to do counterfactual inference which is not available in traditional machine learning approaches. In my most recent engagement at Biofin Capital, I worked with financial data, trying to apply methods of physics to come up with predictable accurate models of asset pricing. I worked closely with asset data trying to build and backtest profitable strategies that were explainable at the same time. In the past I have worked on building coarse grained models of biological systems. I used to compare the results of simulations with in-vivo experiments. This comparison leads to identification of suitable models and enriches our understanding of biological processes. In particular I worked on constructing models of bacterial metabolism and mathematically/computationally solve the resulting stochastic/deterministic dynamical systems. I have also published a paper in a reputed journal (https://journals.aps.org/pre/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevE.101.062406) I have also worked in developing NLP (Natural Language Processing) algorithms for document classification at a company called mquotient. In the past I have studied theoretical high energy physics and quantum information. I am fluent in C++ and can also code in Python and R.
