I am currently a mid-senior associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer's IP/IT team, where I specialize in intellectual property, data privacy, technology and commercial law. I specialize in drafting and negotiating IP-related contracts, while providing strategic advice on IP matters across diverse Asian jurisdictions. Additionally, I advise on data privacy compliance and cybersecurity compliance. I specialise in drafting and negotiating a variety of tech transactions and commercial contracts. Prior to this, I gained valuable experience as an Associate/ Senior Associate at the chambers of Parasaran and Associates, and with the Indian Practice Group of Kelley Drye and Warren LLP. My academic journey includes completing a Master's degree at Berkeley School of Law, focusing on Law and Technology. During my time at Berkeley, I undertook a comprehensive range of courses, including Patent Law, Copyright Law, Trademark Law, Video Game Law, and Media and Entertainment Law. My academic achievements are underscored by receiving 'High Honors' and being recognized as the Best Oralist in the Legal Research and Writing course. I am proud to have contributed papers to various international journals, reflecting my deep academic engagement. In addition to my professional role, I serve as a Scholar in Practice at SpicyIP, a renowned Intellectual Property Blog known for its international influence. I would like to think (perhaps a bit presumptuously ) that I am known for my creativity and strategic thinking. Without tooting my horn too much, my strong grounding in technical aspects of IP, data privacy and general contract law combined with my commercial understanding of contextual circumstances allows me to operate at a high capacity. While I am adept at working independently, I thrive in collaborative environments where I can leverage collective insights to achieve optimal outcomes. I hold a BSL LLB from ILS Law College, Pune, where I was honored with the Best Student Award.
