About Harshil Jain

From a young age, resilience and determination have shaped my journey. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I pushed myself harder than ever — becoming a city topper in Class 12 and earning admission to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, one of the world’s leading engineering schools. Studying abroad taught me how to adapt, persevere, and thrive in new environments — lessons I carry with me every day. At UIUC, I immersed myself in Industrial Engineering, specializing in supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics, with a minor in business. Summers weren’t breaks — they were opportunities to contribute to HSN Fasteners. I still remember our first exhibition: designing posters with my mother, the booth buzzing with customers, notebooks filling with leads. That moment taught me that business isn’t just about products — it’s built on trust, relationships, and passion. What drives me is the same spirit that runs through my family’s legacy. My great-grandfather, Shri Malimal Santram, was one of the wealthiest individuals in Ludhiana, Punjab, and a founding member of Devki Devi Jain College and several other schools in the network, which focused on empowering women through education. However, due to the government policy of consolidation after India's independence in 1947, our family lost much of its wealth. This loss has always motivated me — not just to rebuild my family’s legacy, but to contribute to India’s growth. Growing up, I learned about India’s rich heritage, once celebrated as the 'Sone Ki Chidiya'(Golden Bird), before British colonial rule diminished its prosperity. This history of abundance, followed by a period of loss, has fueled my commitment to rebuilding — to restoring both my family’s legacy and India’s place among the world’s leading economies. As Marketing Director at HSN Fasteners, I am committed to expanding our company globally and empowering women in manufacturing through our Women-Owned Fasteners (WOF) initiative. My focus is on creating opportunities for others and contributing to India’s resurgence by creating jobs and wealth. I believe that growth doesn’t come from profits alone — it comes from systems, relationships, and innovation. That’s why I continuously strive to implement efficient processes and bring new ideas to the table.
