About Harshil Rastogi

Aspiring software engineer with 5 years of work experience, building cloud infrastructure for India's largest E-commerce company- As a child, I used to carry a screwdriver in my pocket and would love to open things up and see their inner workings, and then spend hours putting them back together. I love to dig deep into technology/machinery and understand it. Now to satisfy that keen interest software and technology, I love to answer questions on stackoverflow, read hackernews and contribute open-source. My degree in computer science has enabled me for the past ~5 years to make some exciting products in healthcare and consumer cloud segments. I have worked in a 20 person team that built a cloud solution on which India's largest e-commerce platform runs, serving ~400k users at its peak, managing ~30k bare metal servers, and hence my belief that small teams can deliver big impacts. I love making decisions based on various data-points that help my product users make their work easier. I have no hesitation in digging deep into the customer’s problem and viewing from their point of view.
