The persistent urge and determination to explore my areas of interest have always been my strength and this made me start coding basic computer programs in C language (using Turbo C software) at an early age. Thereafter, I got accepted into the prestigious ‘Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru’ for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and graduated with a First Class Degree. One of the core reasons that drove me to apply for this university is its stunning combination of theoretical and practical pedagogy. Because of my inextinguishable desire towards computer programming and the Data Analytics domain, I started working on academic projects under various titles and domains of Digital Image Processing, DataBaseManagementSystem, Open Lab – Emotion Recognition via Meta-Learning Approach, Smart Home using Eye Control, Adaptive Assessment Test, Placement Management System, Gate Pass Management System. My final year thesis was done under the advisership of Dr. Suja P on ‘Meta-Learning Approach to recognize Emotions using In-House Dataset’ which improved my technical skills in the domain of Machine Learning, Meta-Learning and Deep Learning. I went on to publish a paper titled "Emotion Recognition from Facial Expressions Using Siamese Network" in CoCoNet'20 and presented it at the 4th International Conference. With immense interest in coding, I have participated in a coding contest named “HackwithInfy” and emerged victorious. Having been noticed at the competition for my meticulousness, I’ve been recruited as a Systems Engineer in Infosys one of the largest IT giants in South Asia. Over the period of one year in this organization, I worked as a Support Consultant in a project under Daimler Client involving technologies such as SAP Material Management, ESAP-SAP-CRM Overview and ABAP. With the technical acumen and team management skills I’d displayed, I was applauded many times in the organization. Determined to further enhance my skill set, I got certified in various courses like MySQL, Python, Machine Learning and Essentials of cloud computing in Lex a Learning platform of Infosys. During the course of these experiences, my desire to gain knowledge in new things, maintaining a good academic record and many more different qualities embedded in me, made me confident to pick up the threads in my career and pursue Master’s program in Business Analytics at University of Texas at Dallas.
