Hi, I’m Harshvardhan Chavan, an aspiring Data Scientist with a unique blend of data science, software engineering, and AI expertise. Currently pursuing a B.S in Data Science from IIT Madras alongside a B.Tech in Computer Engineering from International Institute of Information Technology, I bring a dual perspective on both the computational and analytical sides of data science. My work focuses on building data-driven, AI-powered solutions for complex problems- Software Engineering Intern at iJBRIDGE INC, based in Japan with headquarters in Nagoya: I’m developing an Azure-based IoT monitoring dashboard that leverages data analytics for real-time insights and critical alerts across thousands of devices- Software Engineering Fellow at Headstarter, based in USA with headquarters in New York: I designed multiple AI applications, including a SaaS platform for dynamic flashcard generation and a customer support AI, integrating cutting-edge tools like OpenAI API and Pinecone. My projects reflect a deep commitment to advancing the field of data science- Quora Duplicate Question Detector: Built and compared machine learning models to improve duplicate question detection accuracy, using NLU techniques- Word Prominence Detection: Developed a high-accuracy ML model for word prominence detection, outperforming existing methods- Micrograd: Created a mini Autograd engine to illustrate reverse-mode autodiff, with applications in backpropagation and neural network fundamentals. As a member of and a Microsoft AI-900 certified professional, I’m always expanding my skills and engaging with the latest in AI and data science.
