About Hashem Karimi

It was about 16 years ago that I started my professional editing career in an art studio. After a few years, the studio manager asked me to film some of my own projects as he could see my potential and creativity. Alongside teaching film-making to students, I started to expand my ideas and really get into the heart of the industry. I watched and worked professionally as well as editing and filming at the same time. I also learned how to work with cranes and other specialist equipment which was necessary for my filming. The more I learned, the more I became interested in photography and video equipment. Finally, it was time to have my own equipment and start to learn how to use them, which meant I could work in various positions in photography, filming and editing. My passion for learning still persists after more than 16 years of being in the industry and I always try to keep up to date with the latest tech as it fascinates me. I'm very passionate about this profession, so I do not know the meaning of boredom and pretending I know and see everything. I believe that when photographing or filming, people's emotions are very influential in the project's output, so the more I know about people, the better I can take photos or videos.
