About Hatim Sabir

Currently I am a staff attorney with the housing unit at Northeast New Jersey Legal Services. Our unit provides assistance to people with evictions, utility issues, illegal lockouts, ejectments, debt collections related to housing and foreclosures. I am interested in practicing in more legal areas such as immigration law, employment law, labor law, education law, white collar crimes, civil rights and wills. I am open to learn more areas of law and get involved in more complex litigation to continued to develop my skills as an attorney. My career goals can be summed up to the following:1. Prosecute White Collar CrimeI have a particular interest in prosecuting white collar crime because many people in the corporate world get away with crimes that have a massive impact on the world. One example is pyramid schemes that are passing off as multi level marketing. Improve our Education system The country seems to be declining in terms of education. I hope to be a part of a change that pushes to less politicized policies, better school scheduling and improved evaluation of student ability. The ultimate goal is to teach our children to be more informed, well-rounded citizens not just working class drones. Open my own law firm I want to open my own full service firm. The idea is to charge people based on their income. The idea would be that charging people based on their income would allow the firm to do pro bono without any interference from any third party grantors. The model is not about quality of service but about equity of service. There are areas of law that people with low income would not be able to get affordable service. Become a JudgeMy last goal is to become a Federal Apellate Judge.
