About Hawi e Debela

As an international medical graduate, I bring with me a strong foundation in clinical care, having worked directly with diverse patient populations in both hospital and community settings. Since relocating to Alberta, I’ve been focusing on two parallel tracks that reflect both my passion and long-term vision: Clinical Research – I’m actively exploring opportunities in clinical trials, research coordination, and public health studies. Research fuels evidence-based practice, and I’m eager to contribute to projects that improve patient outcomes and advance medical knowledge. ‍ Family Medicine in Alberta – My ultimate goal is to become a licensed family physician. I’m currently learning about the Alberta licensing pathway, engaging with mentorship opportunities, and preparing for the required assessments to build a meaningful career in primary care. My interests lie at the intersection of community medicine, continuity of care, and population health—and I’m particularly inspired by family medicine’s role in prevention, early intervention, and long-term patient relationships.
