About Hayden Mitchell

I worked for P&P Distributions for 3 years where I delivered pamphlets/newspapers twice a week. These had to be done by 6pm which I always had done on time.I worked at Mosgiel New World for a little over 4 and a half years and learned a lot of knowledge about customer service and health and safety. I progressed through multiple jobs over my time here. I started on trolleys when I was 14 and 18 months later got moved into grocery. In 2019 I got the opportunity to work in the storeroom which I found was a good way to challenge myself and show I'm a valuable hard worker.In December 2020 I was lucky enough to gain an internship at the Heartland Hotel, Fox Glacier over on New Zealands West Coast of the South Island. During my time here I mainly worked as a F&B Attendant but got many opportunities to work in other roles. I would help out during the day in maintenance which was great to see the how the hotel operates on another level. I was also given the chance to help out in the kitchen and in housekeeping which was great experience.Once I got back from the West Coast I got another opportunity through my study to work at the Scenic Hotel Southern Cross where I am still currently working. I mainly work in the front office on reception but I do tend to help out in F&B and in functions when we are busy which has been great to help me learn more about the industry.
