About Hayden Widder

I am currently a junior in the Haslam College of business at the University of Tennessee, and I am working toward a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in finance and a collateral in Accounting. One of my main strengths is adaptability. I am very adaptable to almost everything in my life. I am not the biggest “plan maker,” but instead I tend to just adapt to whatever is thrown at me. For instance, in my internship over the summer, most days, there was not much of a plan for me when I walked into the office. Every day, there was something new thrown at me that I had to work on and complete. Not every single day was like this, but I think that most days, I had to adapt to what needed to be done for my manager. My career goal is to work in the finance industry with a focus on banking. I chose to do finance because I love working with numbers because it comes easy to me and always has. Not only that, but I am interested in how money is spent and balanced based on assets and liabilities. One other reason that I chose finance was because every company needs to have some sort of financial department because every company out there is spending, investing, or saving money for something. With this said, I can work in any company and in any location that is available.
