About Hayley Katz

I'm a senior at Lafayette and I hope to become a clinical social worker for young adults. Throughout my experience at Lafayette, the activities I have done have been centered around making connections, learning from people different than myself, and making an impact in the community around me. Through creating a program in a local prison to lead women in empowerment activities, being a weekly volunteer at a youth center since my freshman year, and being on the Executive board of Lafayette's Pre-Orientation Service program, I have met so many unique people that have all given me insight about different populations and how they can best receive help. I also pursue making these connections through my work on the programming committee of the Pards Against Sexual Assault club on campus. I have also found that being a Psychology major helps me to understand myself and others better, and I have put a lot of work into my studies. I am a member of Psi Chi, Psychology's honor society, as well as Phi Beta Kappa, the Lafayette Kids Lab and the Neurodiversity Lab. By being so deeply involved in my schools' Psychology program, I have been able to enrich my studies and work towards my goal of eventually becoming a clinical social worker. I look forward to continuing my educational journey at Boston University this coming fall as I pursue my Master of Social Work with a clinical major.
