About Hazar Biddle

Hazar is an energetic leader who believes schools should do whatever it takes to maximize students' potential! She has been serving students, schools, and families for over 16 years in the field of education. Hazar is a lifelong learner and a big-time believer that "it takes a village to get the job done". Collaboration plays a big role in her daily work routine. Building capacity is another crucial role that the leader should work on in order to get the tasks accomplished in a more efficient way. Hazar focuses is on providing academic and fiscal supports, practices, and procedures that ensure the success of students, faculty, staff, administrators and the institutions they work diligently in. Through transparency, consistency, unbiased thoughtfulness, and honesty, Hazar has always worked to empower and engage her team members to participate in the shared leadership. She also possess a proven track record in leading and managing institutions, divisions, and departments, collaboratively, through change and uncertainty. After becoming certified as a teacher within Maryland, she became an ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) teacher in Prince George's County Public Schools and taught English Learners (ELs) at all levels PreK-12. During her time with Prince George’s County, Hazar earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership while working full time. Hazar has many years of experience in education as a teacher, mentor teacher, supervisor, curriculum developer, instructional coach and program director of the biggest and most diverse programs in Maryland. Hazar is an adjunct professor at Goucher College. These experiences have helped her build herself and learn as she progresses as an educational leader in her field. During her time in the classroom, she facilitated various workshops and taught professional development courses on how to work with students to promote English language development as well as to enhance their academic achievement. In January of 2019, Hazar was appointed as a Title Specialist then moved to Title I specialist for the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) at the Division of Curriculum, Instructional Improvement, & Professional Learning. Providing leadership, coordination and assistance to local school systems on programs, projects, and activities that promote academic achievement and family engagement.
