Experienced event and project manager with proven success in planning and operational delivery, event production and project management. Experienced in drafting sponsorship proposals, marketing via both traditional and social media platforms, and budget management. Skilled in navigating projects through to completion and continually focused on building relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives. Adept at providing on-the-spot corrective actions to resolve issues. I've just reached the end of a fixed term contract as Events Coordinator with Somerset Council (SC), where key responsibilities included: Implementing events of national and cultural significance; reviewing event management plans and risk assessments; managing external organisers holding events on council-owned land; deploying up-to-date knowledge and understanding of event management best practice - via industry-recognised bodies such as the Purple Guide and the Health and Safety Executive; working alongside event health and safety regulators and the Safety Advisory Group (SAG). In addition to full-time employment, I have worked for Glastonbury Festival annually on a freelance basis since 2007, where I have worked both as Accreditation Manager for The Park arena, and more recently as Production Assistant.
