BAgrSc 2012 – 2016: Agricultural Science graduate from University College Dublin, graduating with a First Class Honors degree (1:1). • PhD 2016 – 2019: PhD with Teagasc and University College Dublin. Thesis title ‘Maternal feeding strategies during gestation and lactation to optimize annual sow output and to promote the growth and development of progeny from large litters’. • Post-Doctoral Researcher 2019 – 2020: The project I worked on produced infant milk formula by cascade membrane filtration, as an alternative to thermal processing, and used the newly weaned pig as a model to mimic the infant gut. The project focussed on pig growth performance, protein and amino acid digestibility, and gut form and function. • Alltech Ireland Pig Technical Co-Ordinator 2020 - Present. • Research interests: Animal nutrition, health, welfare, and production; with a particular interest in swine.
