About Hazel Yung

I am a graduate of Nanyang Polytechnic with a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management, specialising in Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE). With an interest in events, I have gained lots of experience in Event Management and Events Coordination skills ever since Secondary School, being part of the Executive Committee of the Student Council.During my polytechnic education, I was given many opportunities to develop and improve my qualities.Firstly, I participated in a competition called Travel & Tourism Business Program Competition (TTBiz), whereby we collaborated with people from various countries such as Korea and Japan to plan a unique itinerary. Through this competition, I was able to improve my communication and teamwork skills. At the same time, I was encouraged to be creative.Secondly, I participated in an external-school event called Polytechnic Forum, whereby students from different polytechnics would come together to understand and discuss national issues through industry leaders such as Minister Ong Ye Kyung and Lawyer Josephus Tan. This event has allowed me to improve my self-awareness.Thirdly, I undergo an internship at Spinergy Inc.(S) Pte Ltd, where I had the privilege to execute an incentive event in Bangkok, Thailand. Through this internship, I managed to hone my leadership skills as I was given the opportunity to be in charge of logistics, collaterals and gifts. Not only that, I supported my event manager by helping her with ideation and crafting a proposal pitch. Through this, I was able to strengthen my writing skills as well as client satisfaction.By pursuing a degree in Business Management, I hope to better equip myself with new skill sets so that I can better contribute to various companies and not only in the events industry.
