About Heath Honaker

I am a seasoned procurement and sourcing professional with over 15 years of experience driving efficiency, compliance, and strategic growth in dynamic, fast-moving environments. Since 2017, I have served as the Purchasing Division Director for the County of Roanoke, where I lead county-wide procurement operations—from policy oversight to complex, high-value vendor negotiations. My expertise lies at the intersection of operational rigor and digital evolution. I specialize in the full contract lifecycle, with a proven track record of managing over 325 system-wide service contracts and navigating the nuances of SaaS and software procurement. I’ve spearheaded strategic projects involving AI-driven analytics and cloud-based software RFPs that delivered significant value and transparency to the organization.I hold a B.S. in Business Management from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) and maintain VCO and VCA certifications. Outside the office, I am fueled by the outdoors and a passion for content creation—blending storytelling with adventure on my YouTube channel, The H² Experience. I believe the best solutions are human-centric, transparent, and built on a foundation of secure, well-managed agreements
