As a Sound Designer working in Post Production dealing mainly with advertising and corporate productions, I am responsible for a range of duties which are crucial to the production process- Editing, sequencing and mixing (EQ, compression etc)- Recording - Sourcing and creating sound effects and music - Responsible for the licensing of copyrighted music in productions - Making sure audio levels adhere to Australian Broadcast Standards for both Radio and TV As well as these duties, I have developed a skill set that is fundamental to aspects of my job. They include- Excellent aural skills - Ability to work conceptually - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others - Ability to work under pressure to tight, changing deadlines - Excellent organisational skills - Ability to work closely with other editors and achieve outstanding results - In depth knowledge of audio equipment
