About Heather Addison

I bring to my roles a strong customer focus, along with an appreciation of records systems, the reason for the need for compliance and an understanding of the impact on people, and their roles. Managing both paper and electronic documents, I have years of experience in administration of large document management systems. My hands-on experience is supplemented by study, including Diploma of Information Management, a Diploma in Quality Management and Assurance, and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. Quality work and contact with internal customers has always been my focus, to assist in tracking documents to help business meet its goals. There is power in set processes and procedures; however they need to be aligned with the needs of people to assist them in their roles. Many changes in the workplace, such as merging records collections, merging teams, and implementing new technology and procedures, has provided me with insights to assist people in transitions, whether at an individual or team level. Strong communication skills are continually being practiced in my involvement with a not-for-profit public speaking organisation, Rostrum. Here my roles are both in training and in executive administration.
