About Heather Baister

Heather Baister has over 19 years of experience, working with banking and financing clients in Australia, the US and the UK. Heather has specialised for the last 10 years in working with secured funding programs, providing both audit and advisory services to clients regarding the origination of credit products and the funding thereof. Heather’s specialisation includes understanding the complicated legal documents which underpin many such arrangements, the associated accounting and the servicing of the underlying assets, and she has worked on a wide range of mortgage originators, RMBS and ABS issuers across both the US and Australia. Heather works closely with the Australian Securitisation Forum and sits on their National Committee as well as performing the role of Treasurer to this important industry body. Additionally she is the author of their Accounting and Tax Education offerings. She regularly presents on these matters, and is a member of both the Accounting and Tax Committee and Education Committee. Heather's clients include Major Banks, Large Australian Banks, Non-bank Lenders and credit unions as well as niche financing providers. Additionally Heather has is a member of the market leading Deloitte Global Securitisation Team with excellent connection to all issuing markets, especially the UK and US.
