About Heather Ballard

I am a Senior Learning Experience Designer (LXD) with 12 years of experience transforming complex business needs into high-impact, scalable learning solutions. My expertise lies at the intersection of traditional instructional integrity—using ADDIE and SAM methodologies—and the future of L&D, including AI-Enabled Instructional Design and Generative AI Strategy.Throughout my career at organizations like Equifax and Edward Jones, I have specialized in microlearning video production, motion graphics, and building adaptive learning pathways that drive performance. As a former President of a global ID Special Interest Group, I am passionate about leading teams, mentoring designers, and leveraging prompt engineering to revolutionize the design workflow. I don't just build courses; I architect experiences that move the needle on business outcomes.
