Heather is an Human Resource Director with over 20 years of progressive HR experience - she is a strategic thinker with the ability to focus on the continuous improvement and future needs of an organization. She is well-versed in fulfilling the myriad of responsibilities assigned to a Human Resources Director, which fundamentally consists of leading an organization’s HR programs and policies as they apply to employee relations, compensation, benefits, safety, performance, and staffing levels. She supports the company’s strategic goals through readily shifting the HR Department's design, planning, and implementation of programs and policies to focus on the dynamic changing world of consulting engineering. She has a proven track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships with both the leadership team and employees and advises both on employee and related organizational matters. Through mediation, she handles labor disputes and guides department managers through employee issues. She conducts employee training and orientation, administers benefits program(s), analyzes compensation and other competitive data. She increases her value by expanding her role in mitigating risk by keeping organizations/companies compliant with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. She has had the incredible opportunity to work for a newly created 100% Employee Owned Company and has leveraged her experience and ability to provide training and resources to the new Employee Owners of the company.
